Lord, You want me to follow You.

To give up what I want to do.

You want everything I have to be Yours.

You want me to give it all back to You.

Yes, every gift that You have given me.

You don't want me to hold back anything. 

You say "Give up everything and everyone you love".

You say "Give up all of your dreams; let Me lead your life".

You say "I have greater plans for you".

You say "You cannot be in control".

Lord, I want Your blessings, but I don't want to work.

I am fearful, Lord, and I haven't any faith.

I remember my past and I don't believe I'm safe in Your arms.

I've been hurt so many times after deciding to follow You.

I just don't want to go through such pain anymore.

I just want to have victory without the war.

I know this is selfish because You went through so much pain for me.

This is where I am; I don't like it; this isn't how I should be!

You say "Give up everything and everyone you love".

You say "Give up all of your dreams; let Me lead your life".

You say "I have greater plans for you".

You say "You cannot be in control".

I look back at the poems that you have had me write in the past.

And I don't know who that girl is. I just don't know her anymore.

You were her all in all. All that she wanted and needed.

She loved You much more than anything, even life itself. 

You say "Give up everything and everyone you love".

You say "Give up all of your dreams; let Me lead your life".

You say "I have greater plans for you".

You say "You cannot be in control".

I want to be that girl again, yes,strange and peculiar.

I want to be willing to follow you no matter what.

I want to believe that you have my best interest in mind.

I want to have the faith and trust in You that I once called mine.

I want to do that which is radical 

I want to be filled up with Your power.

I want to live out the example that You have given me.

Lord, once again, I am asking You, to change me completely.

I will give up everything and everyone I love.

I will give up all my dreams and let You lead my life.

I will accept the plans you have for me. 

I will accept that You're in full control.
