Called to Suffer

Lord, I am called to suffer for Your name.

Called to endure such hard and bitter pain.

Called to carry a cross that’s such a heavy load,

Though I am weak and heavily sorrowed.

Called to cry tears of agony.

Called to live for You in this world of tragedy.

Lord, I can’t bear it!

Lord, it’s just too hard!

How can I do this?!

I’m just me!

My Child, yes, I’ve called you to suffer for My sake.

I’ve called you to be real and not fake.

I’ve called you to live for Me and leave all else.

I’ve called you to die to yourself.

I’ve called you to have a broken heart.

I’ve called you to allow Me to tear your life apart.

But, my Dearest, only to make you stronger that you may know that I am here.

Only so I may dry your every tear.

Only so you may know who I truly am.

Only to make you harmless and useless as a lamb.

Only to mold your heart anew.

Only to build your life for you.  

Lizzie, I know you can’t bear it alone!

I know it is hard, I’ve been through it before!

You will do it in the strength provided by Me!

I AM THAT I AM!
