I Come Into Your Presence, Lord

I Come Into Your Presence, Lord

I come into your presence, Lord
For I know you will hear.
You’ve seen and beheld my every tear.
The people I can trust are very few,
But You’ve taught me that Your promises are true.
Lord, I look to you and come into your presence.

I come into your presence, Lord.
Confused and looking for answers only you can give.
Unable to live how you want me to live.
Scared and worried what the future may hold;
Not knowing what may happen from now ‘til I’m old.
Looking for peace
And longing for release.
Not sure how to follow you
In what you have called me to do.
Not willing to suffer or do your will;
Lord, my stubbornness I’m still begging you to kill.
You’ve called me to serve
And given me so many things I don’t deserve.
All I can do is come into  your presence, Lord.

I come into your presence, Lord.
I just cannot see
How you will work Your work through me.
I have no faith in your power,
Though I see it hour after hour.
I look at everything I can,
But can’t keep my focus on your guiding hand.
Thus, Lord, I come into your presence.

I come into your presence, Lord.
Give me eyes to focus on You,
Give me feet that do only what You want them to.
Give me wisdom; help me seek Your face.
Give me patience and help me go on through Your grace.
Help me just to trust in all you allow;
Help me to trust you when I just don’t know how!
Help me always come into your presence, Lord.

Change Me Completely

Change Me Completely

Looking at myself, I see that I need changed.
I’m down and discouraged just waiting to be rearranged.

Stubborn and willful I am.
Not much of a servant or yielding lamb.
So unfaithful to my Lord
When of His faithfulness I’m daily assured.

Run by my feelings; they’ve become my God.
In His love and mercy, God has not ceased to use His correcting rod.
So tired of all the dreams I’ve had in just these few passing days.
And yet I know they come from seeking comfort in unwholesome ways.
I delight in the pleasures of sin for a season,
Simply justifying all of my treason.

There is just so much wickedness in my heart.
Every time I’m reminded of it I’m torn apart.

I am so prideful and bitter, too.
Oh, Lord, I long for you to make me just like you!

When I see myself, it makes me so unhappy.
So I must turn to my Deliverer and He will save me
 And change me completely.

Lord, change me completely,
Make me what you want me to be.

Forgive me of all my sin
And make me a new person within.

For all the pride I hold inside,
Give me your humble spirit instead to abide.

Purge my heart of all this bitterness
And give me unconditional love and forgiveness.

Cause my willful and stubborn will to die.
Grant me submission in a bountiful supply.

Help me wait on You
And be complete and content in what you choose to do.

When I need comfort, may I never look to myself,
But to the One Who will nurse me back to health.

Lord, may Your spirit control me from now to the end,
And the god of feelings be cast down never to rise again.

Lord, I’m so encouraged when I look to Thee!
I’m so lifted up and I feel so happy and free!
Lord, I’m so thrilled that You’ve promised to change me completely!

Hell-Bound Faces

Hell-Bound Faces

Talking to God…
Everywhere in the world there is a need.
Lord, cause those whom You call to simply heed.

We must reside as near to You as we can
So we can sense the leading of Your piloting hand.

We cannot afford to lose sight
Of the purpose You have us living in this darkness as a shining light.

People need to hear of Your great Salvation.
And through the Gospel receive Justification and Sanctification.

Pleading to Christians…

Christians, we must heed His call when it is first heard.
And everywhere we go, we must proclaim His precious Word.

There are people lacking life’s necessities who need to know that Jesus cares
And that He loves them down to their smallest, almost invisible hairs.

There are the religious who think they have the truth.
And have no idea they are entering into Hell’s eternal suffering booth.

There are those so apathetic they shrug their shoulders at the Gospel,
They see so many hypocrites just hiding who they are behind their cold, carnal shell.

God’s people must grasp that they are no longer bond to sin, but free.
And go forward into the world in order that the Lost’s sightless eyes may see.

God requires that we surrender and serve only Him
And be submissive to His every whim.

It is essential that we be proud of doing the work of our Saviour
And allow Him to change our lazy behavior.

Be willing to exit your comfort zone
And believe that The Comforter will never forsake you alone.

Lose your life in His; surrender all that you are.
Enlist to fight and win with Him in His triumphant war.

Applications…
Christian, what are you willing to do
For your Holy Lord who has done so much for you?

Will you learn a new language and exit your comfort zone
And trust the Lord to never leave you alone?

 How much is Christ worth?
He is worth more to you than anything on this sinful, materialistic earth?

Ask yourself this: “For whom or what am I living for?
Will it all be worth it when I enter heaven’s door?”

People all around the world need to hear
Of God’s Gospel message, both over there and over here.

Will you fill one of God’s service places?
Will you have compassion on lost, hell-bound faces?

Day by Day, Moment by Moment

Day by Day, Moment by Moment

Day by Day, moment by moment
That’s how we live.
Righteous we are and great gifts our God doth richly give.
We strive and lose and fall,
But our God cares and is sovereign over all.
He sees us when we are so low.
And picks us back up leading us where He wants to go.
We rise up again and take back the ground
And in our hearts, new mercy is found.
We remind ourselves of His faithfulness.
And are overwhelmed with thankfulness.
We fall; He picks us up; He never leaves us alone.
He will one day take us to our heavenly home.
There we will never roam from His side.
And we will always listen to our Guide.
Day by Day, moment by moment.

Promises He Will Perform

Promises He Will Perform

How I long to serve you, Lord.
And obey Your will.
How I long to trust you, Lord
And to sit and just be still.

I see the work of Your mighty hands all around me.
But my face always looks so blue.
Christ is working so many things out for me.
But all I seem to think about are things you do not do.

Others are seeing how I am
And placing me under their judgment
Though they do not understand why I am how I am.
They all wonder where my smile went.

Lord, I’ve been trying so hard to follow Thee and do what is right.
But my mistakes are in their vision.
It is as though they have not seen me do anything right.
They are blind to Your mercy and work in me; they only see my derision.

It is as though they think my desire and aim
Is to ruin my life or something.
When I know my desire and aim
Is to follow Christ and love Him with everything!

Oh how I wish you would open their eyes so they might know
That I truly want to serve and live for Thee
And That I am doing the best I know
Though I always appear so unhappy.

Open our eyes and teach us from Your Holy Word.
Oh! There are so many things that I do not know or understand.
God, I want and need Your wisdom which comes from reading Your Word.
You give it so freely and asking for it is all that You demand.

Lord, cause my mind to rest on Thee.
Hinder me from worrying about what others may think or say.
Trigger my heart to be ablaze for Thee.
Help me just to trust You and obey!

You have taught me that worrying steals all my time away
In which I could be worshipping You and Your Son.
Oh God! Take all my fears away
That I may see what you want me to get done.

Thank you that I will not be giving account to any man
But to my gracious, merciful God Almighty
Whom I am so thankful is not a man!
Oh my Lord, how this truly is a comfort me!

For if you were a man You would be a sinner
And You would be a liar.
Just as I am; you’d be a lousy, rotten sinner
And worst of all, there would be no one to save me from Hell’s unquenchable fire!

Though I am a sinner, I am so thankful that You have made me perfect!
You bought me with your precious, holy blood!
You have washed me clean of all my impurities and see me as you do Your Son – perfect.
Oh! Your mercy overflows me like a flood!

God, im so grateful that I can look forward
To the judgment seat knowing that You will not lay any charge against Your elect.
Truly with confidence I can boldly look forward
Because your mercy and wonderful gift I do not reject.

Oh! How unworthy I feel before Your eyes!
Oh! But what a reason to rejoice in Your name!
That You should see me righteous in your discerning eyes!
That You should erase all my guilt and all my shame!!!!

Oh my God! That You would give me strength to believe your promises!
That they are ever enduring and true and sure!
That I would praise You and thank You daily for all of those unending promises
And just endlessly praise You today and forevermore!

May You show all those who doubt right now
Just how amazing You are when You bring Your will to pass!
May you receive the glory for this time in my life right now.
And much more when You give Your promise to this unworthy lass!

Lord, preach at me daily that I may no longer want my way
Which looks so much brighter now, only because I can not see the whole picture.
I desire to trust the One who knows the end from the beginning to lead me in His way.
That you may be glorified and not I, though this is against my nature.

Oh, how I love you, my Lord. You are so faithful to me!
Cause me to keep You first in my eyes and never to worry.
I want to smile knowing Your way is perfect and delighting in Your will and work for me!
Keep me out of sin and do not let me hurry.

The Heart of the King

The Heart of the King
Commit thy way unto the Lord,
trust also in Him and He shall bring it to pass!
Delight thyself also in Him and
He shall give thee the desires of thine heart!
(Psalm 37:4,5)

God is able to change the heart of the king!
My God is able to do absolutely anything!

If He created this world and all that I see
In just six days, He can surely work this out for me!

God was able to rise up our dear Saviour and Lord
He will surely stand upon His own Word!

I believe in His promises without a doubt
So much that I can lift up my voice and shout!!!

OLD TESTAMENT
Jehovah-raah gave Isaac comfort through his wife when his mother was to die.
Jehovah-shammah answered the prayer of Hezekiah when his death was nigh.

Qanna plagued the Egyptians through Moses that they might let His people go.
Jehovah-jireh gave Abram seed in Sarai where no baby would grow.

El Elyon won the battle for Gideon, who had only a few men.
El-Shaddai shut the mouths of lions so they would not harm Daniel in that den.

Jehovah-sabaoth caused the walls of Jericho to tumble down.
The Almighty caused the brawny Egyptian army to drown.

El Roi encouraged the heart of David as he ran from Saul.
Adonai allowed Samson to kill many even after his shameful fall.

With righteous Job, Jehovah-tsidkenu made everything look quite grim,
But in the end Jehovah-rapha gave so much more back to him.

NEW TESTAMENT
The King of Kings cast out devils and sent them to the swine.
The True Vine turned running water in unfermented wine.

The Prince of Peace calmed the raging sea.
And The Light of the World caused blinded eyes to see.

The Resurrection and The Life made the dead to rise.
Lazarus came forth right before Martha, Mary and so many other’s eyes!

The Living Water walked upon the water and caused the storm to cease.
The Bread of Life even made just five loaves of bread and some fish to increase!

The Carpenter caused the lame to walk.
And through The Word’s power the dumb could talk.

PERSONAL
Jehovah-mekoddishkem gave me victory over my binding, troublesome sin
And put fear in me so that I no longer let it dwell within!

Yahweh changed the heart of my Isaiah, who avoided me as much as He could.
Now he loves me just as God said he would!

If God could change such hearts as mine and his,
Then surely He can and will fix such a crisis as this!

He can change the heart of the king!
He will and can do absolutely anything!

God is mighty and able to work everything out!
Lift up your voice to praise Him! Shout! Shout! Shout!

Calm My Storm, Lord

Calm My Storm, Lord

After reading Mark 4:35-41, I pleaded to the Lord that He would…
Calm my storm, Lord. Please calm my storm!

The tears flow down my cheeks.
All hope seems to be gone forever.
I cry so much these long, hard days.
I literally cry creeks!

I want to trust and keep on hoping,
But nothing seems to be moving for my good.
Alls doors are blocked with obstacles.
I feel like everything You’ve planned is somehow stopping.

My faith is tested over and over again.
And I feel I fail every test You give.
Lord, there are times I don’t wanna fight anymore.
Lord, I find myself asking you “When?”

How long will my trials go on?
How long must I suffer so?
How long, my Lord, how long?
How long ‘til the victory is won?
